Together with our partner netpartner AG, we are expanding the existing cableScout–FIBX interface with a central component: FACE. FACE is a technical data hub developed by Swisscom that enables the standardised exchange of fibre optic network information between cooperation partners. The aim is to make the actual network situation – such as free and occupied fibres – transparent, up-to-date and available across all systems.
In cableScout, fibre optics are planned, switched and fully documented. This quality-assured network data is now provided via a standardised interface in the FACE exchange format. This provides a reliable technical database that can be used across system boundaries. On this basis, downstream business platforms such as FIBX receive exactly the information they need to correctly map, make available and market fibre optic products.
