Oberhessische Versorgungsbetriebe AG (OVAG) is a regional energy and water service provider. The copper technology used to date for the communication paths is gradually being replaced by fiber optic technology. This change in technology also requires a change in the documentation method in order to be able to continue to manage the network efficiently. Within the framework of a call for tenders, various systems for the documentation and planning of fiber optic networks were reviewed and evaluated. The winner of this evaluation process was the cable management software cableScout from JO Software Engineering GmbH.
